Our goal at Privé Swiss Pilates is to prepare and mentor the most competent, confident, creative and caring instructors that make lasting positive impacts on our students lives. Our detailed program, approved by the Pilates Method Alliance, is based on the principles developed by Joseph Pilates, but also incorporates progressive thought to put a new contemporary twist on the classical method. Our in-depth approach to learning the Pilates repertoire, led by our in-house team of experienced trainers, will prepare future instructors to provide safe and effective sessions for every type of client they will encounter.
Offering trainings in Pilates Mat, Apparatus and Comprehensive Mat and Apparatus, our modular program allows flexibility in choosing when to complete your session, including weekend classes or a summer intensive session. The Privé Swiss Pilates 465-hour teacher training program focuses on the Pilates exercises, history, philosophy, lectures, lesson planning, effective vocal cueing, working with special populations and a major emphasis on anatomy and biomechanics, which exceeds many other program standards. We ensure confidence and understanding of the Pilates method with mandatory self-practice, observation, hands-on student teaching and mentoring from our experienced and compassionate instructors. Our training format will provide you with the education, support and practice time to feel ready and confident on your teaching journey.

Continuing Education Credits
At Privé Swiss Pilates, we believe in the diverse education found in our global Pilates community, encouraging instructors to become more creative and thoughtful in their teaching practice. We believe all education credits that certified instructors receive should count towards certification renewals. While we offer our own continuing education credits (CEC’s) in the form of in-person workshops and online trainings, we do not require CEC’s to be completed through our program. CEC’s from other education centers must be approved by Privé Swiss Pilates prior to request of credits and re-certification process.
14 CEC’s are required by Privé Swiss Pilates every two years to maintain certification.

How has becoming a Pilates Instructor changed our lives?
“I go to work excited every day and leave feeling blessed to do what I do. I have said many times I have the best job in the world. Teaching Pilates has helped me personally become more confident and outgoing and has connected me with the most wonderful clients and co-workers who I’ve learned so much from and made lasting friendships with. Helping people feel better and enhancing their quality of life is a gift. I love the challenge of figuring out how the body works and what needs fixed; it’s like putting a puzzle together in many ways which is pretty cool. It’s always a positive environment and as an instructor, you are always learning and growing.”
“The Pilates Studio is my sanctuary. For me, being a Pilates teacher is not just a job, it’s my passion, my reward and my journey. As a teacher being able to connect, encourage and laugh with our students fills my heart. I cannot imagine doing anything else.”
“They say Pilates is for everyBODY and I couldn’t agree more. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience helping people of all walks of life finally find a connection to their bodies, and watch them grow stronger and more confident both physically and mentally.. It’s helped deepen my own practice as a student and led me to explore all types of movement in my every day.”
