“I believe yoga is beautiful in every sense. It provides you the opportunity to clear your mind through the stillness of meditation or through movement by flowing with your breath from pose to pose while gaining strength and flexibility. Yoga calms my mind, provides me with a sense of peace and increases my strength physically, mentally and spiritually. I would like to share my passion for yoga with everyone, as it truly makes life better. Teaching is magical and I feel honored to be able to share this wonderful gift of love with others. Anything is possible, if you put your mind to it.” ~ Lori
Lori has been practicing yoga for many years and has found her calling to immerse herself deep within yoga and is fully embracing it. She has devoted a significant amount of time to educating herself with the benefits of teaching yoga along with cultivating more depth in her yoga practice and teaching. She completed her 200 hour yoga training in 2014 and completed her 500 hour yoga training in 2016. In 2018 she proceeded to advance her training and is honored to earned experienced teacher credentials known as E-RYT 500 and YACEP. She continues to deepen her knowledge and loves to share her experiences which has led her to take on the role as YACEP, assisting in future growth with other teachers as well.
During her advanced master yoga training, she was able to fine tune her teaching techniques and immerse herself within her practice. She deepened her knowledge in many areas including: creative sequencing, yoga as therapy both mentally and physically, advanced physiology and nutrition, life coaching, advanced assisting, speaking with spirituality and diving in deep with self discovery. She also donated several hours teaching yoga to special needs children which help to broaden and grow her teaching for yoga students of all ages and abilities.
Yoga has been a large life changing factor in her life as she is a wife and mother of three teenage children. In the beginning, she found it to be an amazing workout providing her with strength, flexibility and tone. As she advanced in her practice, she realized this was the place where her everyday stresses melted away and her mind became clear. This is her place of serenity, where the focus is on movement, breath and clarity and where nothing else matters – this is her calming agent. No matter what stresses come up in life, finding that safe place on her mat is her peace.
Lori loves spending quality time with her family and it is often involves being active with sports, downhill skiing, hiking and enjoying the water together. It was devastating for Lori when she badly hurt her knee skiing but yoga played a large part in her recovery from the ACL replacement surgery. Working through an injury is often one of the best teachers you can have. She embraced this by taking a step back, listening to her body and nurturing herself. This is often challenging to get your ego out of the way. Modifications and meeting yourself where you are each day both on and off of the mat is humbling. The growth she has had is amazing both physically and spiritually. She embraces this knowledge and uses it in her yoga classes. “Open Your Heart and Let Your Light Shine!” ~ Lori
